Inside the Experience
Taza Takeaway Kebab House stands as a true gem in London’s bustling Queensway. This unassuming spot at 35A Queensway, London W2 4QJ, serves some of the city’s most authentic and flavorful shawarma and kebabs. The moment you step in, you know it’s all about the food—no frills, just expertly crafted, fresh dishes that speak for themselves.
What makes Taza truly stand out is the heartiness and balance of its offerings. The meats—marinated with bold citrus and spices—are juicy, tender, and packed with flavor. The chicken shawarma, in particular, has a delightful kick, spicy yet balanced perfectly to excite your palate without overwhelming it. Each wrap or plate arrives loaded with fresh, crisp salad and generous portions, giving each bite a satisfying crunch and freshness.
One of the most appealing aspects is their no-nonsense approach—staff focus entirely on delivering quality food quickly. There’s no pretense, just skilled hands slicing meat fresh off the rotisserie and assembling meals designed to fuel your day. It’s the ideal stop for those craving a hearty, healthy meal in London without the high price tag.
Customers often highlight the unbeatable combination of flavor, freshness, and generous portions. The free salad bar is a thoughtful touch, adding layers to the meal that elevate the humble shawarma. Whether you’re a local or a visitor, Taza Takeaway Kebab House invites you to experience authentic Middle Eastern street food done right—simple, fast, and delicious. It’s a place I find myself recommending again and again for anyone hungry for real, satisfying kebabs in London.
“ I’m from the US. I tried this place while visiting my sister in London! Best food in London! With no exaggeration! Extremely hearty and healthy and nutritious, yet not expensive at all!!! As soon as I tried it once, I kept going there every day throughout my stay!!! I strongly recommend it! ”
“ One of the best Shawarma you'll have! Cash only! Delicious, saucy, lots and lots of Salad. We had a long journey from Bethnal Green to Kensington during the tube strikes and needed a lunch on the way back we parked and got this!! My mate said it was perfect! Totally worth it man. Its fresh man! ”
“ One of the best shwarma in London. Today was a good day the person serving us filled up our pitta bread properly and felt like we got the large portion we ordered. Depends on who serves you, have had times when the pitta is not filled as it should be with the meat but like mentioned today was a good day. They give you a container for extra salad and salsa although they do put the salad in the pitta as well. ”
“ OMG so good I had to go back two nights in a row. I got the chicken shawarma and it satisfied all my cravings. The way their meats are infused with citrus marinating , you can really taste it. It was spicier than I thought it would be but in a good way. Simple, cheap, and DELICIOUS . First timer alone in London and will come back here again and again. Not to mention free salad bar! ”
“ Honest review: Food is brilliant. Shawarma is great. Always has been for the last 15 years I've eaten here. The workers are not customer service type workers, they take your order, cut the meat fresh, give it to you with no rapport, but that is the beauty of Taza. You're not here to make friends or have a candle lit dinner, it's strictly grab your tasty shawarma wrap and go! Flavours hit the spot every time. I'm seeing so many reviews talking about rude staff & cash only. The staff aren't rude, they're just straight talking men who speak as they are. Just accept it that not everyone must have customer service skills. They're not faking a "good" service, they don't request tips or reviews from you, it is fast service food. The cash only, that's up to them how they take the money, no need to question their methods of payment. The price is good for what you get in a mainstream London area. All in all, me and gf enjoyed the food today. It was her first time, and she didn't have any bad words and enjoyed it thoroughly. ”
